Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Heena Waleed has stated that producing intellectual minds alone is not enough for the nation, emphasizing that society fundamentally requires individuals grounded in strong moral integrity and ethical values. The Minister made these remarks while officiating the first session of Villa College’s convocation ceremony today.

Addressing the graduates, Minister Heena highlighted that education must extend beyond acquiring vast knowledge. She urged students to champion academic honesty and personal ethics, noting that civilized virtues such as respecting human dignity, honoring diverse viewpoints, seeking the truth in every matter, and showing mutual respect must be actively practiced by those who attain knowledge.

The Minister pointed out that the intellectual and creative spirit of a nation is cultivated directly through its educational and pedagogical systems. Consequently, she noted, the primary duty of sustaining a country across successive generations rests squarely upon the shoulders of professionals working in teaching, guidance, and nurturing young minds.

Emphasizing civic responsibility, Minister Heena observed that academic certificates must not be regarded merely as pieces of paper, but rather as tools and skills to actively serve the nation. She urged graduates to reflect critically on the country's social fabric and ethical benchmarks, calling on them to take the initiative as key architects in guiding society back on track and uplifting societal standards.

A total of 201 students from Villa College graduated during the first session of the convocation ceremony, earning credentials across the fields of management and education.
