Inspector Shiyam succeeds Superintendent of Police Arif, who previously held the responsibilities of the institution's spokesperson.
Following this leadership change, Inspector Shiyam will spearhead the police service's communications with news outlets and the media, serving as the principal official responsible for disseminating institutional information and directing public awareness efforts.
