To commemorate World Food Day and National Farmers' Day in the Maldives, the "Enhancing Climate Resilience and Food Security" (ECRFS) project partnered with Ghaazee School to host a dedicated agricultural activity. The initiative was conducted under the "Vilunveshi" school garden program, offering students hands-on learning outside traditional classroom settings.

The event featured an interactive outdoor gardening session aimed at providing pupils with direct, practical experience in agricultural methods. Operating under this year’s theme, "Innovate Today, Nourish Tomorrow," the program introduced participants to modern, innovative practices utilized in food cultivation and supply management.

During the interactive session, students examined current cultivation techniques and held extensive discussions regarding the integration of emerging ideas and advanced technology. The dialogue centered on identifying viable ways modern agricultural tools can strengthen long-term domestic food security.

Beyond practical farming demonstrations, organizers facilitated critical thinking discussions to cultivate early leadership and personal responsibility. The core objective was to inspire youth to recognize their prospective role in building sustainable, climate-resilient food production systems for their communities.

Educational initiatives of this nature serve as a crucial platform to prepare the younger generation for future environmental challenges. By actively promoting eco-friendly and innovative agricultural models, the program contributes directly toward sustaining long-term national food security in the Maldives.
