Armenian carrier Shirak Avia has announced plans to launch direct scheduled flights to the Maldives, marking the first-ever regular air connection between Armenia and the island nation. According to Aviators Maldives, the new scheduled service is slated to commence on November 14,.

The weekly flights will operate between Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan and Velana International Airport in Malé. Utilizing a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, the airline has scheduled operations to take place every Saturday throughout the winter period.

The return flight is scheduled to depart Velana International Airport at 13:10, arriving back in Yerevan at 20:15 the same evening, with a total journey time of approximately eight hours.
