A routine evening sightseeing ride through the glittering streets of South Korea’s capital has transformed into an adrenaline-pumping survival escape, as the viral "Zombie Bus" tour takes social media by storm ahead of Halloween.

Operated by the Seoul City Tour Tiger Bus, the limited-run attraction—officially titled "Zombie Attack"—channels the cinematic dread of the blockbuster thriller Train to Busan. Instead of tranquil panoramic views of Seoul’s skyline, passengers aboard the double-decker bus find themselves ambushed by professional actors decked out in hyper-realistic, bloodied prosthetic makeup. The performers claw at the windows, scramble up the aisles, and relentlessly chase the vehicle as it navigates urban traffic.

The 90-minute night tour departs from Gwanghwamun and takes riders across the metropolis, plunging them into staged dark zones and surprise encounters at city parks where more "undead" lie in wait. Videos of shrieking commuters filming the lunging creatures under flashing interior lights have racked up millions of views across TikTok and Instagram, turning the ride into an international pop-culture phenomenon.

Organizers revealed that intense demand forced them to expand the schedule by 50 percent to accommodate roughly 1,080 thrill-seekers, yet all remaining slots rapidly sold out. Actor Kang Yoon-chan, one of the performers driving the terror, shared that the cast heavily studied post-apocalyptic films to perfect erratic, bone-cracking body movements, noting that the genuine shock and screams of passengers make the physically demanding routine worthwhile.

Running through October 31, the immersive attraction has cemented itself as one of the season’s most sought-after urban Halloween spectacles, drawing equal parts domestic horror enthusiasts and international travelers eager to test their nerve against the undead.
