Maldives has officially launched its major global campaign, "Visit Maldives Year 2027 – Celebrate the Sunny Side," at the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM) London. The initiative was inaugurated by Minister of Tourism Mohamed Ameen alongside the CEO and Managing Director of the Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), Abdulla Yasir.

The campaign serves as a strategic invitation to travelers worldwide to visit the Maldives in 2027, experience its natural beauty, and share their journeys with the world. Designed to broaden international appeal, the promotion highlights authentic local culture, hospitality, and unique experiences across the archipelago.

Speaking at the launch, Minister Mohamed Ameen noted that the campaign is aimed at celebrating the identity and heritage of the Maldives while opening up new commercial and economic avenues. He emphasised that the initiative will unlock fresh opportunities for both tourism businesses and local communities across the nation.

The Minister further stated that the core objective of the campaign is to elevate global interest in the island nation and reinforce its leading standing in the international travel market. He added that the strategic rollout aims to pave the way for a highly successful period for the nation's tourism sector.
