These terms apply when you use the websites and apps of Theeru Media Group ("we", "us"), including reading our articles and stories and using a reader account. By using our sites you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
1. Using our sites
You may read and share our content for your personal, non-commercial use. Please do not misuse our sites: do not interfere with how they work, try to get around security or access limits, or collect content or data from them with automated tools without our written permission.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information, including your name, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
- One person, one account. Do not create accounts to impersonate someone or to get around a suspension.
3. Comments and other things you post
You are responsible for the comments and other content you post. Do not post anything that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing or hateful;
- attacks people for their race, religion, nationality, gender or similar characteristics;
- is obscene, or shares someone's private information without their consent;
- infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
- is spam, advertising or misleading.
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a free, worldwide licence to publish, display and moderate it on our sites and in our promotion of them. We may remove any comment, or limit or suspend an account, if we believe it breaks these terms. You can report a comment you think breaks these rules.
4. Our content
Our articles, stories, photos, videos, logos and design belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may share links to our content. You may not copy, republish or sell our content, in full or in large part, without our written permission. Short quotes with a credit and a link to the original are fine.
5. Advertising and links
Our sites may show advertisements and links to other websites. We are not responsible for other websites or for the products and services advertisers offer. Your dealings with them are between you and them.
6. Accuracy
We work to make our reporting accurate and to correct mistakes promptly, as described in our Editorial Policy. Our content is for general information and is not professional advice. Stories in our fiction sections are works of the imagination.
7. Availability and changes
We may change, pause or stop any part of our sites at any time. We try to keep them running smoothly but cannot promise they will always be available or free of errors.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using our sites at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. The sections on content you post, our content, limits on our liability and governing law continue to apply after an account is closed.
9. Limits on our liability
Our sites are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by your use of, or inability to use, our sites. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives, and the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using our sites after a change, the updated terms apply to you.
